TVN 24: Between Scholl and the Polish Prime Minister

July 15th, 2011

ENG: Between Scholl and the Polish Prime Minister

The next series of ‘ads’ started yesterday in the prime time at 20.00 on TVN 24 /CNN equivalent/ just before live, exclusive interview with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk. That coincidental order transformed the video thanks to the speech of the old lady into a political critical statement.

PL: Pomiędzy reklamą Scholla a premierem Tuskiem

Wczoraj, reklamą w TVN 24 o 20.00 rozpoczęła się następna seria antyreklam. Wyemitowanie video tuż przed wejściem na żywo premiera Tuska nadało antyreklamie dodatkowego polityczno-krytycznego znaczenia.

Film jest częścią projektu promującego Biennale Borderline i akcji rozsadzenia sztucznego i pięknego świata reklam.

TVP Kultura: Borderline – between Scholl and Colgate

June 25th, 2011

The project /supported by Abnormals Foundation/ has two aims:
1. promotion of  noncommercial Borderline Biennale in extremely
commercial environment
2,  distortion of commercial plastic ads by a quasi advertisement,
which shows, what people do not want to see.

The first selected TV station  was the most prestigious Polish public
TVP Kultura, where the first video was shown three times and was
described as a scandal. Both Scholl and Colgate companies consider
financial repercussions for ‘non promotional surrounding’.
In the last two days we received about 200 emails from people
describing their different but always extreme  reactions.
The next new  videos will be shown in other TV stations in Poland and
Germany such as TVN or arte TV.
